This little Guy.
On Dec. 21, 2013, this little guy got really sick. Actually he had been sick before then, but nothing too crazy, just a cold. But this cold seemed to linger and as the days went by he started to get more and more pale. On Dec,19th his sweet Teacher called me and told me that Cooper wasn't doing so hot. When I picked him up I could see how not good he was doing. I put him to bed and he slept the rest of that day away.
The next morning he still looked yellowish, but was happy, and moving around fine.Plus he didn't want to miss his class Christmas party, so I send him to school knowing that I would be there soon to help out with the class party. I watched him the whole time I was in his class, he still looked awful, but he was acting fine. The next day both Mike and I had a feeling we needed to take him into his Doctor, he just was not looking right.
His doctor took one look at him and said
" We should probably do some blood work on him." They drew his blood and before we knew it we were on our way down to Primary Childrens Hospital. Cooper's blood levels were half of what they should have been. (Which explains the whitish/yellowish coloring.) They told us before we left that Cooper would probably need a blood transfusion. What?
When we got to primaries they hooked Cooper up to an IV and did more blood work, and tested for things like internal bleeding, leukemia, and any other blood disorder. All of the test came back great. They couldn't see any thing that they felt was super alarming. They told us that his body is responding the way they would want it to, and that a blood transfusion was not needed. Thank Goodness.
We stayed over night at the Hospital, and got home early sunday morning. When all was said and done it came down to a virus that had caused his body to stop producing blood which caused cooper to have acute anemia. He has been going in to have his blood drawn the last couple weeks just to see where his blood levels are at, and has to take it easy. But over all he is doing great.
Scary moments, and a happy ending. Love this little guy so much. Hate it that he got so so sick...

Gah! What a good Mom you are, to take notice.
Hospital visits are always frightening.
I wish I would have known, I would have brought you dinner!
Nick and I are going to try to get our new flooring in the kitchen next week, and after that we'll have you guys over.
Until then, text me if you need ANYTHING!
Also, what are you thinking in regard to piano lessons? No pressure, just thought I'd ask.
