Our First Day of Summer. 2014

The Boys got out of School for the summer on May 30th this year. On this day I woke up early to get everything ready for the last day.  I know I was excited to have my boys home for  a few months, but I am not sure how excited the boys were to have to say goodbye to some of their friends for a while.
Cooper told me he was sad because he liked school, and his Teacher and didn't want to leave her. He said he was going to duck tape him self to her. She is pretty fantastic.

I dropped them off at school, and then came home and got stuff ready for when they got home. I had made them each a "Summer Bag" with a beach towel, and a new floaty in it. I also made little bags for their goggles, and waters guns. They are a perfect size to keep all of their summers needs.

After that was all ready, I made cookies, and Slurpee's for an after school snack. Super healthy I know!
When they got home, and after they had eaten their snacks, we decided to go for a bike ride down in the Hollow. We filled up our Water Bottles, and off we went.

Jackson looks so good in his Bike gear!

Love Coopers smile here!

Our Plan was to ride to the hollow, slowly ride down the hill to the bottom, and then have a nice ride. What we didn't remember was how incredibly steep the trail down to the Hollow was. Holy Moly. It was a little scary.
We walked our bikes down the hill, it seemed like it took forever! But once we got to the bottom, it was easy going. We rode all over, and all over again. The boys brought spray bottles to cool themselves off when they got too hot.

We found a trial that looped around its self, we rode that one a few times.

Cooper photo Bombing here.. Cutest photo bomber out there!

On the way home, we found a trail that led us to a very cool hut..

Some one put in alot of work to make this thing. The boys want to take it over!
We played there for a bit, but decided it was time to face the beast of a hill in front of us. If we thought going down was hard, we had another thing coming. Going up a nearly straight up hill, pushing a bike is ridiculous!  We had to give ourselves and incentive to keep going.

We chanted as we pushed our bikes" Movie, Slurpee's, popcorn" over an over again. Our TV sits in the basement, and it is always nice and cool down there. We were looking forward to sitting in a cool room, with a cold drink, and some tasty popcorn!

It worked, because we made it, and we only stopped once. I don't think we will take that trail head again. We found a much less steep one that we will take next time!

When we got home, we ran down stairs, turned on our movie, and cooled off quick. Both Jackson and I fell asleep and Cooper just relaxed by our sides. I LOVE SUMMER! And being with these amazing boys of mine.

Later that night was date night. We met our Friends Lori and Nate at an Indian Restaurant. Nate served his mission in England too. We have alot in common with these guys. One day we plan to go to England with them. Just need to find our Money tree first. One Day.

After Dinner, Mike and I went to Walmart and goofed off. We grabbed some candy for a late night treat, and then headed home. Friday was a good day..
