St. George Days 3 and 4...(2013)

Day 3 was the fourth of July. We started out with a hike in Jenny's Canyon. This is a simple hike and one of we like because it is a quick one. The first time we took the boys here Jackson had a melt down. He was so sure that the canyon was going to close in on him, he screamed, we had to drag him in there. This time he did fantastic and even climbed the rocks on the inside of the canyon.
\

Cooper and Jackson were all about finding little treasures that they could take home.. Again, rocks are the coolest things ever!!

Inside the canyon there are all kinds of great coves, we always try to find ways to climb in them and through them.

This is the end of the hike. The canyon closes off, so its one way in and out.

The boys wanted to take a picture of Mike and I, but we had to pull silly faces. I really love how this picture turned out.. Shows what we are really like. :)

After that very quick and very hot Hike, we needed to find a way to cool off. What better way then Ice cream? Getting ice cream is something we do every time we go down. I think Ice cream in St. George taste better. I think my boys agree..

We took advantage of the pool that day too. When the weather is 112, really the only thing to do is swim.(or sit by the air conditioner.)

Later that night before fire works, we made caramel apples. This was Coopers plan, he wanted to make sure everyone had a topping they would love. He was so excited while we were planning it. He wrote it down on a piece of paper and look over it again and again just to make sure he had it right. It turned out so great. Good Job Cooper, great plan.

I love this holiday so much. It has always been one of my favorites. I love the fire works and the good food, and being with my boys. Here we sat just under the DIXIE rock to watch the 3 fire work shows that would be going on. We truly got such a great seat. It felt like the fire works were right on top of us. Jackson and Cooper were so excited about each one. I think Mike and I loved watching our boys more, because of how excited they were.

The next day was Friday, and it was Jacksons day. He wanted to take a day and plan it. He wanted to go and climb all around what we call "The Canyon Rocks" again it was super hot, but we couldn't let our jackson down. So we climbed and sweated, and climbed and sweated and drank so much water, and when we were done, we could hear ice cream calling our names. We could not resist, it was way too tempting. so we gave in and indulged in it...

These picture are all mixed.. the climbing ones are at the bottom, and the ice cream ones are at the top, and the out to dinner ones are in the middle.  But you get the idea... Before we went out to dinner, my sweet boys were so great and went shopping with me. I really love to shop, but not just anywhere, I love to get a great deal. There is a store down there called Urban Renewal, one of my favorite. I hope it is there forever.. After that we took the boys out to dinner. There was a balloon artist there passing out fun balloons. My boys were all over that.

Day 3 and 4 were so great.  Day 5 and 6 coming up....
