Our first Snow up here in Layton. And we were LOVING it. Jackson went to play at Tanners and Cooper invited Jane over to build a snow man with him. They did fantastic and named their snowman Frankie. Mike and I stayed inside where it was so warm and cozy, but had so much fun watching our boys play in the Snow. I don't like to be cold, but I do LOVE the snow, and this time of year.

THANKSGIVING AT GRAMMA LEE'S.
For Thanksgiving this year we went up to Amalga to spend the day with Mike's Family. We always look forward to Thanksgiving, because we just love to eat, and Mike's Family always has so much of it.When we got there Mike's Mom had fun crafts for the kids to do while they waited for the yummy food. They made Turkeys, magnets and colored pictures, and got really messy.
After all of the crafts were done and drying, all of the kids went outside to play rugby, or to chase the cats. The weather was so great.
Ian, Miles, Sydney, and Coop. Rugby Champs.
We were all so excited for the food. Mikes family always does such a great job cooking and baking all of the amazing food. I didn't marry Mike for the food, but it is a HUGE bonus, and his entire family is awesome at making food. (Lucky Me.)
Both of my boys filled their plates up with jello and whip cream. Cooper put a yam, and bits of turkey on his, I guess that almost counts as a balanced meal. Mike made Jackson eat green beans, Jackson thought that was a dumb idea, but choked them down.
PUTTING UP THE TREE:
We put our Tree up on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. On Friday the boys and I dug out all of the decorations from the crawl space, and decorated the house. We wanted to wait for Mike to decorate the tree. On Saturday we went and bought our yearly ornament from Shopko, then came home and put the tree together. Jacks and Cooper were so funny to watch. They had a million questions, and a million ideas on how we should decorate it. They divided all of our ornaments into 3 piles(Mike and I had to share.) and we all took turns putting up the pile we were given. I thought it was a great Idea, it kept the fighting at a zero, and we got the tree decorated.. Clever boys.
Gosh, I sure love this little Buddy of mine..
Lights go on first.
We use a big brown wicker ball for our star. I don't know why we do that, but we do. It will probably stay like that until this wicker ball falls apart. (Then we'll find a new one.)
AWWWWW, done.
(Mini story about our tree.) Mike and I bought this tree the first Christmas we were married for $10 at Joanne's.We waited in line for forever, but we were not letting this deal pass us up. Then we thought, "Well we have a tree, but nothing to put on it." so with the money we had left over,(which wasn't much) we bought a pack of the tiniest ornaments, a pack of about 12, because that is what we could afford, and one normal size ornament and took it all back to our apartment and decorated our very naked awesome tree. We loved it. It is has been such a good tree, I don't think we will ever give it up.
It certainly isn't naked now, we have filled this tree up with so many mis matched ornaments. If I was asked what our theme was for our tree, I would say Chaos. And isn't that what raising a little family is all about? Chaos, and a whole lot of fun. We rocked it boys, our tree looks amazing.

I am glad that I'm not the only one satisfied, and even happy, with displaying a $10 Christmas tree!
Your backyard looks massive! I can't wait to come see your house.
