My Birthday 2014..

My Birthday this year was so great. Thank you everyone who made it that way.

On my Birthday my good friends and I went to Zupa's for lunch. It was great to sit and chat it up with all of these amazing ladies. You gals made my day such a great one.

Later that night my Hubbers, and my boys threw a mini party for me.  It was so simple, and so perfect. They got me the President Eyring Book, and a picture of the Logan Temple (Mike and I were married in the Logan Temple.)
Thank you boys, your gifts were just what I wanted..

Then it was time for the Cake and Ice cream. Mike makes the best Cakes.. He makes the best food. I am so glad he cooks, and is great at it.. Thank you food Gods!

Later that night my Young Women stopped by. I was so surprised to see them. They came in and sang, and brought food. I really have such an amazing group of girls, and Leaders.  You made my night even brighter..

The bigger Party started on the friday after my birthday. Mike is so awesome and booked us a Hotel room up in Logan. We dropped our boys off at Mike parents and we were off for the night.
(SIDE NOTE: You boys were so so excited to go and have a sleep over with Gramma and Grandpa, that is all you talked about for a week. Your very darling Gramma spoiled you with ice cream for dinner, and staying up late. You loved loved that. When Dad and I got back from our over night date, we asked you if you missed us at all, both of you said with out hesitation " Nope." Ok, so I missed you like crazy, but I am so glad you had so much fun with Gram, that you didn't even think about us.) Back to what we did: Cute Mike took me shopping for what ever I wanted, as long as it stayed with in our budget, plus whatever money I had saved. :)

We stopped at Michaels first. I bought some canvases and paint brushed,(I needed art supplies, I was running low) and then off to my very favorite place ever, the D.I. Best deal in town.

Found this little number there. I know, a Mu Mu is very flattering, but I had to pass it up.. I like the bright colors though.

What I didn't pass up was 7 awesome shirts and a bag and some shoes that have never been worn, all for only 30 dollars. I am telling you, the deals you find at the D.I. are hard to beat. Plus why spend a ton of money on clothes, and bags, and shoes, etc.. that you will only like for a season anyway.

After shopping we went and checked into our Hotel, changed and then headed over to the Logan Temple to spend some time there. It was great being there. That Temple is so special.
After the Temple, we went and got some dinner at the Mandarin, and then back to the Hotel. We stayed up so late and watched "House Hunters" and " House Hunters International"  It was never ending episodes, and its so addicting to watch.

The next Morning we woke up and got ready for the day, and then Headed back over to the Temple so I could get some pictures of us, so I could document it in here, so that when we go back and read our blog book, we can remember this day.. I know.. its silly. I didn't bring my camera the night before. I really wanted pictures of us by the Temple. Mike is a good sport..

We were so quick with the pictures for two reasons, we were frozen, and we were so hungry. We wanted to go and try out a restaurant in the Island called Herm's. Mikes co worker's son owns it, and we have heard great things about it.  UM..... It was pretty freaking fantastic. We honestly cannot stop talking about it.. We are going again. YUM!!

Waiting for our food...we are so hungry..

okay, so I know what you are thinking.. that looks like some one puked on the plate.. I promise that did not happen. This was Mikes Breakfast, and one amazing one at that. He had pulled pork, with biscuit and eggs, and some almost unbelievable green chili sauce. Seriously, thee best green chili I have tasted.( I don't have aton of experience with green chili sauce, but this blew my socks off) and he had a side of bacon.

This is my breakfast.. I had the veggie omelet thinking it would be a light breakfast because I needed to save room for the Hot Dog I was planning on having later. Um, no. This baby filled up my plate, and my belly for the entire day. I was sad to miss out on the hot dog, but seriously, I had zero room for one..

This food was amazing. I am eager to go again..

After we were done eating Mike and I went back to his parents house. Mike stayed with the boys, while all of the girls went shopping. Mikes Mom, sisters, sister in law and I plan this shopping trip every January. Mikes sister Mindy's birthday is the day before mine, we use that as a reason to shop til we drop. I look forward to this every year. I love the shopping part, but I love the spending time with great friends/ family part more.

We shopped for a while and got great things. Then went back to Mikes parents house and had dinner, and then more Birthday Cake, and Ice cream. We stopped and visited with Mikes Bro. for a bit and then headed home.
I had an awesome birthday. Thank you to everyone...

P.S. This picture got stuck down here, and I didn't want to take the time to put it where it belonged. I know, lazy me.  But I love this man Standing in front of the Logan Temple..
