Mike took a thursday off of work so we could spend it together. We dropped our boys off at school and off we went up to the Brigham City Temple. We have wanted to go for a while, but have never made it that direction. We were so glad we made it this time. That Temple is amazing, and so beautiful inside. We spent our Morning there. I love that there is a place you can go and get away from the chaos of the world. I sometimes never want to leave.
After the Temple we drove up to Crystal Hot Springs, about 10 mins away from Brigham City. We soaked in the pools there for a few hours. We giggled a bit because we were the only ones there who were under the age of 60. Mike told me that these hot springs had "healing" powers, so it makes sense that they would be filled with older people. They were sweet.
However, we were not there to be healed, we were there to just hang out together. We commented to each other that it felt like we were somewhere Eruopean. That place does have that feel to it.
Before getting wet..
After, and on our way home. We stopped to get some food. We were really hungry after laying around in hot pools all day! :) We were almost sad to be going home, but happy to see our boys. I love Day Dates. Thanks Mike for taking the day off. Love you!
The Drive In..
My sweet Young Women have been telling me about the Drive in Theatre in Riverdale. I was so excited to hear about it because I use to go all the time when I was growing up. I haven't been to one in so so long. I LOVE going to drive in Movies. So I told Mike we needed to do that for one of our dates. He had never been to a Drive in and said "OK".
I was so excited, there were a few things to do to get ready for it. I had to get treats for the Movie, we had to make sure we had blankets and someting soft to sit on, and games to play while we waited for the sun to go down. I told Mike we had to get there early so we could get a good parking spot.
We left our House around 6:30 and headed over to Jimmy Johns to get the sandwiches that we love so much. And then to Target to get treats. And then we were off to the Drive In...
When we got there we tried to find the perfect parking spot. This picture makes it look like the screen was a mile away. We parked by the Snack Shack for two reasons, no one is in front of us, and a perfect people watching spot. One of my favorite parts about the drive in. :)
We set up our Blankets in the back of Mikes Truck, and pulled out our treats, our games, and our Dinner.
We didn't really play our games we brought, the people watching was too good. Mostly we sat, ate, giggled and talked until the Movie started. We saw "Godzilla" Not the best movie, but a perfect Drive in one. Both Mike and I gave that movie a thumbs down. But the Drive in its self was a blast. I think we will be doing this again with the boys next time. They would LOVE it!
Awwwwwe Mike, Thanks for yet another Great Date.. Love you!
