Things we've been up to. 2014

The Day we came home from the Hospital. Cooper was so happy, and feeling so much better. He asked me if could borrow the camera for a min, and then took a sweet little selfie.. This was such a great day.

We were packing up, and waiting for Dad to get there to pick us up. When Mike got there we scooped up all of Coopies things and and put him in his wheel chair and off we went. Cooper slept the entire way home. My Friend Michelle had plans to decorate Coopers room so he had a nice welcome home. We weren't planning on coming home on Thursday, we thought maybe Friday or Saturday. So sweet Michelle had to rush to get his room ready. Mike and I stalled our drive home hoping that we gave her enough time to get things ready.

Cooper came Home to a very awesome Welcome. There was a Sign on our Garage that said "Welcome Home Cooper" and his room was filled with hearts.  He loved it. We tucked him into our bed, and then the visitors started to flood in. He had friends stop by, and his Teacher stop by, pretty much most of the neighborhood came by to make sure Cooper was doing better. Our Good friends the Astels brought in Dinner that night, Pizza and donuts and soda, and all things awesome. Thanks guys!  We had food flooding in the weekend, so thank you to everyone who helped feed the Lee's!   Cooper spent the next couple of days in bed, but was ready for school by the next Tuesday. Such a stud.

On the Saturday after he got out we made plans to go to the Zoo with our friends the Moore's, but the weather had other plans. It rained, and rained, and rained, and rained, all day. We were not going to let the weather win, we were going to do something, so we jumped into the car and drove up to The Maddox in Brigham city and got some Sarsaparilla's and some french fries. We took the back roads there so we could have more time to giggle together.

We had so much fun riding and talking together. While we were waiting for our treats after we ordered, we took a few pictures, and we laughing very hard at everything. It was one of those moments where everything was funny!  Cute Cooper squished himself between Mike and I here.

I can't remember why Jackson was laughing so hard here, but this picture is so darling. It makes my Heart happy.

We brought Sammy, our dog. Poor little thing. She wanted to eat our fries, but we were not about to let her do that, so we put her in the front of the car  and ate them in front of her. She was not very happy about that. Sorry dog, you get dog food only.

Sarsaparilla is a drink that is made in Heaven. It is really the very best flavor ever. I love it more then I could ever, ever explain! I am not sure how my boys felt about it, but they loved the fries, and fry sauce.  Fries are a pretty amazing food too. So simple, and so satisfying.  I think I could live off of fries. :)

When were done with our drinks and fries, we drove over to see the Brigham City Temple.   It was a quick drive by because of the rain, but it was great to see it. That Temple is such a pretty one.

After that we started for home. We decided to take the back roads again on the way home. We were not in any hurry to get home, we were having so much fun. On the way home we played "I spy with my little eye."  We all thought we were clever, and sneaky, but whatever we were, we laughed and had a fun drive home.

Random Bit:

I was asked to help decorate one of the teachers bulletin board for Teacher appreciation week. My friend Kim and I had fun putting this all together, it took some time, but was totally worth it.

Jackson and his friend had a Lemonade stand:

Jackson and his friend Adam came home from school one Friday and decided they wanted to have a lemonade stand. I helped them get everything ready and off they went to the corner of our street to sale their goods. They did pretty amazing. I wasn't sure how it would go for them, but they made just over 10 dollars.  I was proud of them, and the effort they put in this. Such cute kiddos.

Our neighbor Edyn came over to help  for a little while.

At a park in Kaysville..

Since we didn't make it to the Zoo the first Saturday, we decided we would go the Saturday after. We met Stacey and her adorable grandsons at the Zoo.. She was so sweet and was able to get us in on her Grandma pass. Thanks again Stacey.

The Zoo was crowded, but really cool. The first thing we saw were these amazing Lions. They were stunning, and they knew it. We couldn't help but be amazed by these animals.

Jackson trying to be happy. He didn't really feel to good that day.

We tried to make him smile, but he was not having it. He wanted us to just leave him alone.. Silly kiddo, we really do love you!

The amazing Elephants. I am always taken back at how incredible they are.

My attempt to get a smile.. No Luck at all..

Its so funny, my boys really did have a little fun at the zoo, but their faces say other wise. They look miserable!

(Mom, this is so dumb, do I really have to sit here?)

As we were walking to see more animals we noticed that the bird show was about to start. We were all over that. We went and found our seats, and waited for it to start..

Waiting.

This is Stacey's little grandson Greyson. He is so darling.
I love the bird show, I think its kindof cool that they have trained all of these birds. Its so great to see them all up close and personal. I feel like we learn so much when we go.. After the bird show we ate lunch and chatted. Jackson had a huge head ache, he was ready to leave. Stacey's grand babies were sleepy and ready to leave. After lunch we said goodbye to Stac, and went and tried to see the bears, but Jackson's head was hurting him too much.  We decided it was time to go too.

Thank you Stacey for the fun day.. We just love you guys..

Later that night, after we had all had a nap. We headed down to my little bros for a BBQ. I miss this Bro. He lives an hour away, and I don't get to see him as much as I would like to. He is so much fun.  We came, we ate, we talked and laughed.

He has 3 little boys, and huge space for little boys to play in and get super dirty. My boys were loving it!

Oh Mike, and your faces.. You make me happy.

Look at that little guys smile..He is so cute!

Keith has a razor, which we totally love. Keith told my boys about a hill where you can find fossils, so of course they were all over that. So we jumped into his Razor, and off we went to find fossils..

The view from the top of the fossil hill. Its so pretty.

They were so eager to find fossils.. their expectations were super high..

They looked, and looked, but found nothing. I think their hearts were a bit broken. They did find some cool rocks to take home which eased the pain of not finding a fossil. Next time Boys..

After the razor ride, my bro started a fire and brought out the marshmallows and cookies so we could make smores.

Cooper made a new friend named Aurora. I think these two ate 4 or 5 smores each. They had sticky faces and fingers..

I tried to get a good picture of my bro and I.  It took a few tries.

He is so funny. My Favorite Little Bro..

Keith and Chellee.

It was a really great Night.. Thanks Keith and Chellee..

Cooper had his first Piano recital. He was so so cute about the whole thing. He was ready until we got there and he saw how many people he would have to play in front of. He almost turned white. Mikes parents came down to watch Coop.

The recital started, and cooper sat shaking in his seat. He didn't want to go up, but he turned on his brave and up he went. He started playing his first song and messed up a little. He got so nervous, but tried again. The second time he played his song he messed up again and was so embarrassed, he had big tears in his eyes and didn't want to play anymore. His darling Teacher and I tried to encourage him to keep playing, but he was not going to give in. Either way, he rocked it. Its so scary to get up in front of a large group of people.

He still wanted to play his songs for Grandma and Grandpa, so he waited until after the recital was over, and the room was empty.  He sat and played his songs and didn't mess up once. He was such  a rock star.. So proud of this little dude.

Jackson and Cooper were both invited to Locke Reads Birthday party at the Layton Surf n Swim. They had a great time. Locke is such a great friend to these two.

And Date night...
Mike and I try to go out each Friday night. We have so much fun. This night we went to an Art Show in Kaysville. I was so excited to go and see the art work, and to meet the Artist. It was held at a Home, which I thought was a great idea. We were able to visit with a few of the artist. We had a great time.

After the Art show we went out to Dinner at a place called Pepper Belly. It was pretty good. Our favorite was the Salsa Bar. It was just fun to sit and be with my Honey. I really don't care what we do, we always have a great time. I just love this guy of mine..
