Our Family Vacation to the Tetons and Yellowstone. 2014 Part 1

Part One:

This Year for our Little Family Vacation we took the boys to The Tetons, and Yellow Stone.
We stayed in a Tent cabin by Colter bay.  This was the best vacation  yet. We spent the first couple of days in Yellowstone checking out all of the cool hot pots there, and the last few days in the Tetons, hiking, and soaking it up.

This was the first time for Jackson and Cooper in Yellow Stone and The Tetons.
They loved it, and cannot wait to back for more!!

Jackson wanted a picture on the boarder line of each state we drove through. He thought it was cool to be in two states at once.

On our way there we stopped at the Minnetonka cave to explore. That was amazing. It was fun to see jackson and Coopers reaction. They loved it!

These next few pictures of Cooper are so funny and so stinkin cute! He high jacked the camera when Mike and I were not looking. This is what we got..

Cooper is such a funny dude! He keeps us laughing for sure.

After the Cave we drove onto Colter Bay where we were staying in a Tent cabin. Oh my goodness, this was such a fun place to stay. It was perfect for the 4 of us.

The boys were excited because they each had a bunk bed to call their own. And there was a pot belly stove that kept us super toasty at night. Seriously such a fun place to stay..

Just outside our door was a fun little wilderness that the boys thought was pretty awesome. They named every rock and tree stump. They are such cute boys..

After we settled in at the Tent Cabin, we headed up to Jackson Lake Lodge to explore and to have dinner. The view when you walk up the stairs at the Lodge is honestly Breath taking. I have never seen such an amazing sight as this one. I was in awe of it all.. The pictures here do not do it justice.

We stood and started at the View for a while. I cannot wait to go back again.

We walked around the Lodge for a bit and then headed over to the Pioneer Grill where Mike worked the summer after he graduated High School and ate dinner. We were super hungry, and it was fun to see Mike re live some fun memories..

Dinner was great.. After dinner Mike wanted to take us on a hike to Swan Lake. We walked around for a bit and got a few pictures and then headed on the hike.

Here we are at Swan Lake.. It was Amazing! The entire lake was covered with beautiful lily pads. It was so quiet, and peaceful here. We looked for bears, but saw none.

We walked along the lake trail for a bit.

I think everything up here is amazing.  In Every view there was something that reminded you of just how amazing the creation of Heavenly Father is.

The rest of Day one was spent walking around the lake and exploring. We headed back to the Tent Cabin and started a fire and read and fell asleep. Day two we were Headed up to Yellow Stone.

Day Two:

Day two we started out by showing the Boys old Faithful. They were excited to see this. We sat and waited for about 30 mins for it, but had our choice of any seat. On the way up to yellow stone we had a stop or twp to check out the scenery.

It was a cool morning, but it didn't last long.

Old Faithful getting ready for the next Show.....

And us waiting for it to happen. We were the first to get there, so seating was awesome!!

Cooper Hiding behind the sign..Old Faithful went off, and the boys Loved it! and then it was over and time to move on and see all of the other very cool geysers..

We just followed the trail, and took our time. Yellow stone is amazing.

This one was HUGE! Its name is called Giant Geyser! It for sure fit its name. We stayed here for a while and admired it. I know its just water and steam, but its really cool water and steam!!

When we were done walking around outside, we took the boys to the Old Faithful Inn. It is amazing in there. We found a place and sat for a while, our feet were tired.

Cooper found a friend at the Grand Prismatic Spring. He was so in love with this puppy. I agree, it was hard to let that sweet lady walk away with her very cute puppy. But we had to say good bye. We had to keep with our adventure, We had so much to see.

So I am not going to name all of the hot springs and geysers, cuz honestly I don't remember them all. ha ha, but I will try..

Mike wanted me to take a picture of this stream because it reminded him of Mt. Dew. Alwasy Mt Dew on the Brain!! But really, who can blame him, it is amazing!

And That is as many photos as I could fit.... I have so much more. So Part 2 is coming up soon. There may even be a part 3 or 4. I took 283 pictures of our vacation. I know, its a bit much, but I didn't want to miss anything. :)
